AGQTP / AISV “New Technologies ” project

Early in 2006, I proposed and received funding for a “New Technologies” project. Funding is provided by the Australian Government Quality Teacher’s Program and the Association of Independent Schools Victoria.

  • several Professional Development sessions using videoconferencing across IP (with more to come)
  • a think-tank for educational leaders and other interested staff at the school
  • our first (upcoming) classroom excursion via videoconference (thanks ReefEd)
  • Forming our first “Technology User Group” with other local schools on the use of IWB’s in the classroom
  • upcoming Professional Development on the uses of podcasting for Lower Primary, Languages Other Than English (LOTE) and Music teachers
  • development of Screencasts for student downloads

As a result of this project, I will be purchasing new equipment (iPod Video, GPS) to play with and develop new resources.
